Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas/Allen

Not at all impressed with this hotel, I wouldn't recommend staying here. As soon as I opened my room I was confronted with a musty smell. Multiple lights in my room didn't even work, and the ones that did were so low leaving the room super dark. The room was tidy but not cleaned very well, there was still toothbrush scum in the sink. The overall feel was outdated. There was a loud humming coming from the AC I'm assuming, in the bathroom ceiling. The bed was lumpy, not at all comfortable. And breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, nothing special. The guy at the front was nice enough, probably the only positive. Homewood Suites by Hilton is on my list of "don't stays".

We arrived yesterday, our room wasn’t ready, they gave us a room I wasn’t ok with. The kitchen is useless, the pots are almost broken, at least you got 3 forks. Let’s talk about the guest laundry, the dryer are out of order. So I was offers the housekeeping will dry my laundry, I asked them, they don’t know nothing about, guess what now I have a bag full of wet clothes. Where ever you go, something is out of order, the restroom in the lobby, the treadmill , and both dryers. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a headache free stay. The service is out of order here.

I am currently doing some work in Allen Texas. I checked in Monday night late(11/27/2023) Even tho I did pre-checkin I stopped at the front desk to get a room key anyway cause I just like to use them vs my phone. I told the guy at the desk I would like a room key, and of course he asked my name and looked up my room and said you have a digital key. I said I know but I would like a physical room key. He was irritated but gave me one. He did not welcome me, made no mention of my Diamond status, and told me how to get to my room. I got to my room and it just didn't feel quite right. I looked around. An old pizza and partially eaten salad in my fridge. The floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed. I had used wash cloths hanging in on my shower rod, and some used soap in the soap tray in the shower. I looked at the bed to make sure it had clean sheets and it appeared to so since it was late I stayed in the room. In the morning found cut toe nails on the floor by the desk. Grossed out, I got ready, went to the front desk. No one was there and after pacing around for 30 seconds a guy came out and said can I help you. I asked when do they clean the rooms? Before he could answer could answer I checked in late last night and my room is a mess and I need my room cleaned. He said you want you want room service and I said yes, I want my room cleaned and I started to tell him why and what my room is like. He didn't want to listen and just said I will get room service. No sorry or apologize for the room not being ready. It was just that ugly feeling when you know you are still sitting in the mess left by the last people using the room. I highly doubt I will be staying at this hotel again. The physical room service was terrible and the people we not friendly or compassionate about the situation at all. I returned to my room tonight just before midnight and it has been cleaned well. I appreciate that.

Generally we love staying at Hiltons and for the Thanksgiving holiday we booked this hotel. The hotel is extremely outdated. Cleanliness was below sub par with gnats in the fridge and the restroom. Breakfast was terrible...cold, bland and honestly just questionable; we went to Cracker Barrell the next morning. The staff at the hotel was absolutely fantastic which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1 or 2.

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!! We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for our sons wedding. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us - we had 20 rooms. They provided the meeting room for us all to gather and spend time together. Kate, Douglas and Stephan and the rest of the staff were amazing! We will definitely be staying at this hotel again when we are in the DFW area again.
